1. Why do you think Wyclef's family succeeded in emigrating to America when so many other Haitians cannot?
2. To what would you attribute his success? Is it just talent or something different about him?
3. Why do you think he feels so committed to returning to his homeland to help?
4. Can you think of anyone else who has done something similar? (It can be in this country or another.)
5. How might you help out right here in Smithtown or someplace else on Long Island? Is anyone needy here? Do you need to be wealthy to help?
6. Why don't wealthy nations do more to help Haitians?

They succeeded because they had hope that they could have a better life i america. His success came all from inside Wyclef, he has the determination to do what he needed to do. Its more than a talent he actually gives back to where he came from and gives the people of Haiti that one little light that they can look forward to if they need any help. He returns to his homeland a lot because he sees how much his people are struggling and he cant just sit there and let it happen he decided to do something about it. NBA basketball players, most of them give back to their community, rebuilding houses, and giving donations, etc. To help people in Smithtown or any place on Long Island i could donate money or spend my time doing community service. You don't need to be wealthy to help, it means more if you participate in helping people rather then paying people to help or just giving a donation. Wealthy nations don't help Haitians is because they think its a waste of money because its always going to stay the same and nothing is going to change.
